I woke up in my small room that was bathed in a pale pink light, Neji asleep next to me.  I propped myself up on my shoulders and tried to remember why I was bandaged.  There was a bloodied bandage on my forehead and one on my knee.  Neji had a bandage that was covering his entire stomach, the left side bloodied as well.  I sighed as I remembered the mission Kakashi had taken us on, the wound that knocked Neji out and the hammer that had caused my black out.
I flopped back down beside Neji, letting my hair flow across the bed.  I must admit, that was one hell of a mission.  From beside me, Neji groaned and scruntched his eyes shut.  His hand moved to the bandage on his side.
"What happened?" Neji asked in a groggy voice.  I bent down and kissed his forehead softly.
"A kunai in your gut is what happened, and a rock to your skull as well.  You'll be fine, trust me. Trust Stella as well."  I said with my face close to his.  Though his expression was exhausted, he managed a smile that made him look beautiful.  His fingers slid through my blue hair that hung  around his face and with a smile, and he kissed me.  His left hand placed on my neck pulled me in close to his face. His other hand was placed on the small of my back on the bare skin where my tanktop didn't cover.  His fingers were cold to touch.
I felt Neji nibble on my lip, just enough to draw blood, then his tounge running across the wound and my lower lip.  I opened my mouth just the slightest bit, allowing him access.
We lay there for a good ten minutes untill Stella walked in.  I looked up angrily at her.
"Good God, get a room!" she said sarcasticly.
"We are in a room.  My room, in my house." I spat.
"Whatever, I just thought I'd check up on you."
I watched her for a few moments.  "You haven't told him, have you?"
"No... I... I just can't bring myself to tell him, not untill I'm totally sure about it.  I'm going to take another pregnancy test in a couple of hours."  She said with her head bowed.  I sighed when I realised that Stella wasn't going to give us any time to ourselves and rolled off Neji.  It was probably better, considering his wound.
"I guess we won't be going swimming any time soon." I said, resting my head on his shoulder and my right hand on his bare chest.
"I guess not.  You wanna catch a movie at my place after we're in a little better condition?" he asked with a sigh.
"Sure, sounds good.  Until then, you're staying here with me."
Stella glared at me. "I won't allow it! He's injured, and what fun will that be for the two of us, Maya? I mean no family bonding time?" Stella giggled in satisfaction, before continuing, "Anyways, I found an open bed at the hospital. Maya, seeing as your stronger than your man, there, he'll be staying at the hospital with Tsunade." I chuckled and waved it off.  She walked out of the room rolling her eyes with an awkward expression on her face.
"Finally." I sighed.  Neji nodded in agreement.
Just then, Kakashi entered the room with a look on his face that indicated that he was going to ask a question.  "She just left.  Don't bother looking for her, though.  She'll come to you in a couple of hours.  Trust me on this one."  I said nonchalantly.  He nodded and left.
"Do you want anything?"  I asked, leaning over Neji.
"Just for you to stay here with me."  He said with an exhausted smile.  I smiled back and curled up against his chest, letting exhaustion wash over me until I fell asleep.
                                                                      ~
It has been a little under three months since the mission Kakashi took us on.  Neji and I are fully healed now and have begun our swimming sessions in the river again.  Tenten has resumed her spying from the bushes.  I really should cut those away...
Stella took her second pregnancy test, which turned out positive again, but hasn't told Kakashi.  She has taken to wearing looser shirts and baggy hoodies to cover the belly she was growing.  Kakashi is getting worried, and will soon figure out why she has become so cautious.
Sasuke, who was injured almost to the point of death during a mission, is healed now and is back with our squad.  Before the injury, I had not been accepted into a squad, but had graduated.  I was forced to continue my studies at the academy until one would take me.  Since Sasuke had been injured, Stella was looking for a new student for her squad.  For reasons that were unknown to me at the time, she would not take me.  Instead, Kakashi took me in, and traded off one of his students.  Tenten refused to work with me, so she left to join Stella's squad.  With Sasuke healed, he chose to join us.  He has been acting strangely lately though...

Jab.  Duck.  Hook.  Back flip.  Throw smoke bombs.  Tackle.  Roll.  Basically how my sparing match was going.  Shit.  Where'd he go?  There, movement to my left.  Damnit, a squirrel.  Behind me.  I'm certain this time.  A kunai came whooshing towards me.  I let it collide with my shoulder, pretending to hit my head when I fell.  I faked unconsciousness, letting my opponent loom over me.
"Ha.  I told you you couldn't beat me."  Sasuke said in an overly confident voice.  I grinned and grabbed his ankles, forcing him to the ground.  I jumped up and pinned him to the ground, my knee on his chest, one hand holding his arms to his neck and a kunai pressed close to his face.
"I win, Uchiha."  I said, my face just a few inches away from his, and sneered.  "And I didn't even have to try."
I really didn't.  I know he was injured, but he has been healed for over two weeks now, and I was hardly even gasping for breath.
Kakashi jumped out of a tree a few feet away and began to clap.  "Very good, Maya.  Sasuke, you could do better than that.  Being beaten by a girl.  I know you were injured, but you have been completely healed for over two weeks.  Whats wrong with you, hurt pride?"
I didn't look up at Kakashi as he spoke, knowing that Sasuke would find a way to sucker punch me if I got distracted.  I pinched his nose and got off him, still grinning.  He growled angrily at me before saying "I'm outa' here" and stalking off, miserably.  Training was over.

I decided to follow Sasuke, see what he's up to when he's not being followed by his creepy fan girls.  He walked to a tall tree with large branches and perched himself on one, his back against the trunk of the tree.
'Man is he boring.' I though to myself.  I was hidden in a tree twenty feet away from him, watching intently.
Four people dressed in strange outfits appeared suddenly on the building beside him.  I was, unfortunately, too far away to hear their conversation.  Their headbands were almost foreign to me.  The purple bows around their waists looked oddly familiar.  Sound ninja.
I clasped my hand over my mouth, trying hard not to make any noise that would attract attention.  I've got to tell Kakashi.  I jumped quickly out of the tree when they were occupied by sparing with Sasuke.
